day 1496: Bus Shelters

“Answer my prayers, O Lord,for your unfailing love is wonderful. Take care of me,for your mercy is so plentiful.Don’t hide from your servant;answer me quickly, for I am in deep trouble!Come and redeem me;
free me from my enemies.”

We see them everyday and don’t think much about them, unless we need them.  Bus shelters are created for the worst conditions.  On a beautiful days, there’s not much reason to sit in the shelter, other than to sit down for a few minutes.  But, when inclement weather shows, a bus shelter becomes crowded.  In business there isn’t any place to sit and find shelter when it starts coming down hard.  We have to weather through all types of conditions and learn to be tough and ready.  And, as we know, when it rains, it pours.  Might we want to consider providing a little shelter when we know that the deluge is coming?

God is not only our unfailing shelter, He is also the bus that will pick us up and take is far from trouble if we are willing to follow where He wants to take us. I know a number of people who right now are going through so much that all they want to do is take shelter until it all passes.  Well, as we know, it doesn’t work that way.  We can seek shelter in God’s protection to get us through, but He will still call on us to be strong and stand tall for Him and the tests that He presents to us.
