day 1497: Capturing Attention

“One day as he saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down.”

If you are in a World Series contender city, like we have been here in the Bay Area, all attention gets captured in the community.  Some call it “fever”, but I think it is more that the contagion is hope and alignment.  For a moment, a city can come together to rally around a common cause.  It’s momentum that gets started.  We can do the same with product launches, new initiatives, promotions, market share gains, etc.  We get to pick and choose, but if we choose correctly we can align big organizations to all get excited and heading in the same direction.  We can capture their attention.

Jesus captured the attention of multitudes when He walked the earth.  Since then He has captured the attention of billions of people over time.  And, if He can do that in history, then He is still doing it today through each of us.  When we doubt that we can, through our life example, capture the attention of others for Him, then just try.  Today and tomorrow, people will gather to hear and understand who He is.
