day 2254: All In

“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.”

I find few things in business more invigorating than the person who is “all in” with their idea, product or service. It’s the stuff that magic is made of and when we reengineer the history of a success story we will typically trace it all back to one or two people who were willing to risk it all to assure that their creation comes to market. The rest of the company or organization?  They may just ride on the passions and courage of those who will go all in.  What can we do to ensure that we have more and  more people who are willing to be known as “all in.”

Tim, longtime purposed worKING reader sent me the following that his Pastor had shared on Twitter. This reminds me what it means to be “all in” for Jesus.

“Nothing is more practical than finding God,
That is, falling in love in a quite absolute, final way.

What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination,
will affect everything.

It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you will do with your evenings,
how you will spend your weekends,
what you will read,
whom you will know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in love,
stay in love,
and it will decide everything.”
