day 2787: Sheltered

“The godly will rejoice in the Lord and find shelter in him. And those who do what is right will praise him.”

We are now into April and For most of the country the idea of being “sheltered-in-place” has become a new ab-normal. I’m confident that some fantastic discoveries and creative ventures will emerge from this time, but in order for that to happen, we have to have the right attitude of openness and acceptance of the situation.  If we wake each day in frustration, defeat and even anger, we may be missing the opportunity in front of us to channel those emotions into good and productive time.  I equate this time to similarly how one feels when “trapped” in a job they don’t feel they can leave and each and every day becomes a challenge to rise above that feeling of not being able to control or change the situation.  We will have these feelings again and again in our lives and careers now would be a good time to practice what we can personally do to make the best of a situation.

God gives us a promise when we are in need of understanding what is “shelter”. It’s right there in the Psalms.  When we are looking for where and what shelter should really mean, God once again delivers.
