day 1565: No Fear

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you….”

There is the company named, “No Fear”.  They sponsor a number of extreme sports events.  They have made quite a name for themselves with their stickers and decals to be found just about anywhere there is an extreme sport happening.  They represent not only an offering, but an attitude.  There’s is a true brand that speaks volumes to those who become acquainted to their brand positioning.  What message does your brand send?  Is it as loud and as clear as “No Fear”?  Does your service or what you offer to your customers/consumers, etc. speak broadly, broadly and so clearly? It’s something to think about!

This past weekend, I was in LA for GRAMMY week.  I am fortunate enough to be able to attend the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Awards.  This year, among the others awarded, Wayne Shorter, the Jazz musician, received his award.  While he accepted his award, he challenged us all about our faith.  He said, that true and strong faith is to have no fears about anything in this life.  I was stopped in my tracks as I thought about it.  When I have fears, it is only because my faith is faltering.  When looking at what we have in front of us today at work, it should bring a new perspective to what we are to face.
