day 2945: Reentry Part 2 – Why Go Back?

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Many are soon going to be faced with the question, “Why go back to the office?”.  Maybe not all will have a choice, but for some time frame many will and there will need to be an answer that fits each person, not one size fits all.  We should begin formulating our answers now.  One way to do so will be to think back on the time prior to COVID and what the good facets of being in the office were.  The feeling of being on a team, affiliation, spending time talking and learning from each other, feeding off each other when in meetings, going for walks with others, lunchtime, gym time, etc.  It could be any of these, or a lot of them.  Either way, we would be wise to have our lists formulated so that when the harder parts of reentry appear (we will explore those soon) we can counterbalance them with this good list that we know makes it worth it to go back.

One inspiration for us can be that God made us to do good things for Him.  When we doubt what our impact can be with those around us, then consider that He planned all of this for us and how and when we reenter is all a part of a plan to unfold.  So, it might be that for nothing else, we should explore our way back to find out what God has up His sleeve for us!
