day 3K104: The Journey Of Truth

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

This past month in one of my startups I had to go on a journey of truth.  What I mean by this is that I had to go seeking the truth about a situation.  It was a journey to get there because without supporting facts, it has become too well-accepted that the truth gets bent, shaded and twisted.  But, when you have the facts on your side with actual evidence, the truth gets glaringly revealed.  I like this quote about the journey of truth: “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident – Arthur Schopenhauer”.  We are seeing this borne out everyday with what is happening all around us.  Like any journey we embark upon, it takes work and perseverance to complete what we undertake.  Let’s be sure that where we hold the responsibilities that we are the ones who don’t allow truth to be ridiculed or opposed, but instead, quickly accepted.

Jesus as the Messiah was subjected to the truth journey.  He was ridiculed and violently opposed. It was not until after His crucifixion and resurrection that it became evident that what He was and what He was saying was the absolute “Truth”.  He is our way, our life and our truth.  The truth journey He wants us on today with Him is one where we not only follow His truth but we spread it to others so that they too might come to Him.  Let us today be walking beholders and standard bearers of His truth!
