“And His name will be the hope of all the world.”
Race car driver, Will Power won the Memorial Day weekend Indianapolis 500. Of course, “Will Power” would win that race. From the day he was born and named, he had to hear every joke, but somewhere down deep inside of him, and with others, the name that is such a constant reminder of an attitude and motivator, had to have had an effect on him. Like a good brand name, from every angle the name can establish an emotion and also bring calls of action. We should never underestimate the power of a name, good or bad.
Today we will start our week and there will be names used all week long. We will call upon names of others for advice and counsel. We will invoke names to reinforce our points or positions. We will bring about names in moments of recognition and appreciation. We will also be tempted to invoke names when we are upset or frustrated. In whatever situation we find ourselves today or throughout the week, how we use names is important in how we conduct ourselves and set the example we want to set. And, in the midst of it all, let’s not forget that there is one name, that when called upon brings to us all that we need.
