day 2116: Connected Ventures

“For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.”

You may hear of the term, “Connected Venture”.  This term is used to define multi-service/use/purpose businesses that have been popping up around us.  The barbershop that turns to speakeasy in the evening, the coffee shop that extends into retail clothing, the church building that becomes an art gallery during the week, etc.  I expect we will see more and more Connected Ventures as time goes on.  Asset utilization and the ability to transform a location to satisfy the same customer set with a different offering, just makes sense. If an airplane that sits on the ground is really useless, then the storefront or building that is locked for 12-15 hours a days, is just as much a dead asset.  Technology and the philosophy of no-waste will bring us more and more new ideas on how to connect many ventures.

Was it not Paul who told us how our faith as a community is a connected venture of God’s doing?  Paul’s definition of the church and how we are connected as believers reminds us that we are never alone in our faith and that the possibilities of how we can work together to expand His Kingdom are limitless.  Let’s not forget today that we are a part of His connected venture to bring everyone to Him.
