day 2001: Good Faith

“Fight the good fight of the faith…”

I received an invoice for work that was done at our house.  The unusual part was that the bill was from work that was done nearly three years ago.  That work was never completed to satisfaction and I had communicated such.  When we didn’t hear anything back, we assumed that there wasn’t any interest in doing the needed rework and I’d just have to live with it, and in response, we’d call it even on the outstanding balance.  Well, that was not to be the case as almost three years later we will start all over in the process.  Lesson for me is that good faith can best be assured by tying off the loose ends and getting to complete.

Our good faith is just the opposite in that it never ends and can get deeper and better the more we lean on Christ and dig-in to follow what He has left us to do.  Each day, for us to bring glory to Him in our work, we must live and work in good faith so that others can see Him working through us.
