day 2953: Chazown

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Right in front of our eyes, the future is appearing.  Duh, you might be saying, of course everyday is the revealing of the future.  But sometimes it feels like the future is boldly making a move.  Am I the only one who is amazed at how fast the car industry is moving away from combustible engines and towards electric motors?  I was reading about the upcoming EV Ford 150 pickup truck.  All the horsepower, all the same features and uses and a battery range of 400 miles.  That’s amazing.  That’s the future showing up.  If we open our eyes and minds we will see that the future is only right around that next corner.

The word Chazown is Hebrew and it means to have a dream, a revelation, a vision from God of our future.  And to think, we each have our own Chazown for what we do, what we work on, who we will be with, who we will become. It’s an exciting word because if we truly seek our Chazown and trust that it is from God, then how can anything that is ahead of us be anything but good?  Let’s sit with that today and ask God to reveal more of our Chazown to us than we have yet to see.
