day 3K119: Reliability

“He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.”

I write often about the importance of integrity in our work and how those who do what they say and say what they mean will stand out positively.  And, there is another benefit of doing what you say and that is reliability.  Reliability is a trait that must be earned.  In today’s world of constant unreliability, when someone is reliable, consistently, it can truly be a hallmark of a product, service or person.  How hard is to be reliable day in and day out?  It’s not easy, but what great comes from something easy?

Our God is reliable.  The Word goes further and describes Him as faithful.  We may not be able to be faithful to others because we are human (although we should try) but we can be reliable by standing by what we say, doing what we say we will do and following through on our responsibilities and commitments. Want to reflect what God demonstrates to us?  Then, we can start today with being reliable.
