day 2281: Out Of Sight

“But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

Patti and I are in a renovation nightmare right now.  The schedule is over a month late and because we are renovating all the bathrooms and the kitchen we can’t live there while the work is being done. We’ve been out of sight all summer while the construction has been going on. With out of sight, guess what else can happen?  Yes, out of mind.  No matter how good someone is, human nature can sneak in and allow us to drift or slow if no one is looking.  If that wasn’t the case, then none of us would need a boss.  What work is out of sight today that could be and is likely to someone else, out of mind?

We are never out of sight from God, but even so, we can allow Him to be out of mind.  But, He cares for us so much that He created all of our life surrounding and experiences so that we can get closer and closer to Him, if we only choose. What can we do today to make sure that we are reminding ourselves that He never being out of sight spurs us to keep Him top of mind?
