This week is one of my favorites as I get some downtime to do some purging of technology.  I clean up up emails and get rid of a bunch of files, etc.  I also inventory the Apps on my phone and get rid of those I haven’t touched in over six months.  Sadly, Apple is shutting down Dark Sky, my favorite weather App so I will keep it until it stops responding.  At the same time, this is the time (and early January) when new Apps and Technology debuts.  I found this one: The Shade Map  I’m not sure I have a need to use it very often, but it’s pretty cool if not all that necessary.  But, that’s the great things about Apps, they don’t have to satisfy just needs, they can be there for wants and curiosity.

Sometimes we are in dire need for shade.  Not, from the sun but from the heat we may feel under from the stresses and pressures of our jobs and lives.  Many of us are enjoying a little Christmas to New Years downtime but if you are sales person who is trying to close out the year, you are still hustling and doing your best to get those signatures and deposits before 11:59pm on New Year’s Eve.  At some point, we all need some shade and God provides it for us when we are at the moment of need.  So, next time we are feeling the heat, let’s be sure and seek out the shade that comes from Him.
