day 3K237: Gifts Of Work – The Power Inside

“The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord.”

This is the concluding week of PwK’s “The Gifts of Work” series.  I hope you have enjoyed them and that you are fully in the Christmas spirit and prepared for the Christmas celebration.

There are times when we are on the job that we may wonder, “What difference am I really making?”  Depending on the size of the company, that can feel legit as we might not think we have any sway at all.  But, that is not true.  A great idea can come from anywhere.  The recognition of a customer need could be the unlocking of what all customers want and need, but no one ever said anything.  The encouragement and coaching of someone else could lead to them moving up and making their own mark.  Just by setting an example, we are raising the bar for everyone.  A gift of work is who we each are and what we can bring to the table that when added up, is a powerful for the betterment of the company.

The Disciples and Apostles were not gods.  They were people just like you and me.  We could have been a chosen one at the time and witnessed the power that happens when individuals follow God’s directions and surrender their lives to Him.  The Disciples and Apostles made an indelible print on humankind because they knew the power of God and what could happen when they obeyed His directions.  In today’s time, we are God’s chosen ones and we have been given talents, abilities, responsibilities and yes, jobs to use what we have been granted to bring glory to Him in our work and lives.  We have His power to guide us and move others with our work.  It is a gift!
