I’ve tried hard to become a student of what it means to be productive in our work.  It is not uncommon to hear business leaders want to have an employee “bring all of themselves” to their work.  And, why not?  It sounds great to have someone bring all of who they are to their job.  And we love it when they do.  Well, that is is when all of them is the positive and additive.  But imagine that the same boss who asked their team to bring all of themselves to work is faced with an employee who sits at their desk and says, “I just can’t today. The kids are sick and we were up all night. I only slept 30 minutes and have a such a headache that I can barely open my eyes.  But, I am here because you want to bring all of me to my work.”  What is our response?  While my example might seem extreme, it’s not really because what an employee hears when we say, “All” is “The company wants all when is only the best of me, when I am at my best. But, when I am not…..?”

If we want to assure that we are getting all that God wants for us, we have to give Him our all.  How do we do that today? We start first with seeking His path for us today.  Yes, it is one day at a time and if we give Him our all today then He will provide us His assurances that He is leading us in His path.
