day 2925: The Calendar Curve

“You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.”

If we want have the best chance at a productive day, we will visit our calendars at least a day before and begin planning out the coming day’s meetings, timing, efforts and energies needed.  I know it sounds crazy but a lot of people don’t look at what today is going to bring until the same morning.  By then, it is too late to take into consideration what it will take to make the day successful. Being ahead of the calendar curve is a simple productivity hack that can make more of a difference than you think.

I like to pray over my calendar, looking at each meeting and praying ahead of time for what is needed.  And, we can also pray over the open times in our calendar so it doesn’t become wasted or idle time.  Idle time as the adage goes is a playground for one who we don’t want messing with us.  So, consider praying over today’s (and tomorrow’s today) calendar.  You might find that the day goes better or possibilities are uncovered that you didn’t expect because we’ve invited God to go ahead of the calendar curve for us.
