“Come close to God, and God will come close to you…”

I got to thinking about those who work within close quarters to each others.  Dentists and their Assistants,   Airplane pilots and a whole bunch of us who do., or once did, share cubicle space.  It can get tight and if we don’t get along well with our co-workers then any little thing can feel like an irritant.  Even though we all started out in a small space, we need our room to spread out a little and have a some space.  If we are cramming people in as tight a we can get them to maximize square footage, then so be it, but know that at some point someone is going to break-out and the excuse might be about going to another better job but consider that they just might not have been able to take the close quarters any more.

We can’t be in too close of quarters with God.  We are told to draw close and stay close.  The closer, the better! It might be that today what we are struggling with is because we have given ourselves too much space.  One day in eternity it will be that we know no distance from our Lord.  Those are the close quarters that we can work to practice now by drawing nearer to Him today.
