day 1995: Seated

“Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand.”

We were at an event last weekend and this was the card we were given to determine where we were seated for the dinner (btw, it was table 12…I cut that off for this post).  We were seated with others who had similar experience (music/entertainment) so that we all would be able to have something in common to start the conversations.

I was reminded that in business and life, where we sit is many times where we stand. So, it becomes important that we keep in context of where we are seated because if we don’t, we can forget that our life views, perspective, opinions, plans, etc. are shaped by where we sit.  And it is from where we sit that we decide to take a stand.

I am humbled and so in awe that God asks us to follow Jesus.  Because, where we are following Him is to where He sits, at the right hand of The Father.  That is where he wants us to live with Him.  Wow!  Right?  So, let’s remember today that when we sit with Him, we can stand against anything and are seated in the right place today!
