day 2955: Dispositions

“Unfriendly people care only about themselves; they lash out at common sense.”

I do work with companies who care a lot about their corporate cultures and personalities.  The best are those who can objectively look in the mirror and accept who they are through the perception of their consumers, customers and employees.  The worst are those who say they care, but never want to hear or accept what others think of them.  Companies have dispositions, just like people.  What is our company disposition right now?  Are we hopeful, optimistic, enthusiastic, friendly and courageous?  Or are we fretting, timid, controlling, unfriendly and cautious?  It’s a fine line, but the companies who will win the day are those that wake up on the good side of the bed each and every day.

We can’t be a light for Christ if our disposition is that we wake up on the wrong side of the bed and take it to work and life.  What is more obvious that things aren’t right with someone than when they become unfriendly, start watching out for themselves so much so that they you can’t talk any common sense into them?  We know those people, don’t we?  We can’t be them and at the same time reflect hope and love.  We have to be the expression of God’s love which is a “SONny” disposition (see what I did there?) 🙂

Have a great weekend!
