day 2695: Inbox Zero

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

Don’t get too excited.  I’m not going to give you the secret of having zero emails in your inbox, although the Inbox Zero process is a really good one. Our email inbox, which has been one of the greatest inventions of all time (think about it….without email how would we have progressed like we have?) also comes with great stress and requirements.  A lingering email can drive us a crazy and an email that does not get a response can ruin a business or personal relationship.  Those so simple little notes can carry so much.  One of the tactics to Inbox Zero that does make a lot of sense is if you don’t want to receive emails, then don’t send them.  Reach out with a phone call, a text (although they can be just as annoying) or go see the person.  The more emails we send, the more we can expect to receive.  Something to think about today.

Aren’t we so fortunate that when we talk to God we don’t have to think that we can’t because we will have to take on more because we made a request.  There is no quid pro quo with the Lord.  He asks us to bring Him all that we have, problems and all.  So, today, let’s not worry about a zero inbox for God.  He is joyful that we come to Him each and every day.
