day 1911: Unbundling

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love?”

The big move in the media world is unbundling.  We’ve been so used to the bundling of all of our content/services that the removal of the bundles seems maybe hard or somewhat confusing?  But once we do the work to analyze what we watch, listen, read, etc. we might have the opportunity to finally pay for what we want and not be tethered or held to services that we don’t need.  HBO is now going direct and bypassing the cable providers.  That’s great for those who don’t want to pay for the premium service package just to watch HBO.  Had the music industry remembered that we only wanted one or two singles from an album, not the whole $19.99 CD things might have been different for the industry.  We can expect more unbundling as we consumers get more comfortable with moving around ala carte.

I am more and more amazed each day with how God set it all up to love us all but at the same love us each so personally.  He taught us to love each other without reservation, and at that same time He had given us the example of how to express that love to each other through sacrifice, service and humility.  He unbundled humanity into our very own relationship and way of going about getting to know Him and sharing Him with others.
