day 2932: The Road Less Traveled

“Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”

When we read of hear the phrase, “The Road Less Traveled” we think of Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road Not Taken” (we get them mixed up).  Either way, there is a road more taken and a road less or not taken at all and we choose daily upon which we will walk. Our Church, CornerstoneSF started this year with the theme of “Breakthrough”.  Pastor Terry has been teaching us through what breakthrough means and how to get there.  God’s message is so applicable to our work too, if we just choose to have the ears to hear and apply.  Pastor Terry described four steps to getting from where we are to the breakthrough we desire:

  • Intentionality is the Want To
  • Strategy is the How To
  • Discipline is the Stick To
  • Accountability is the Help To

Really good, huh?  As we think about what needs to happen in our businesses and organizations for the rest of this year, let’s get past surviving and think about thriving.  Let’s imagine what breakthrough would look like for us if we just followed those four steps!

But wait, there is more.  There is also the closing of the loop when we add:

  • Praise is the Unto

When we add Praise into the thought process, we bring Him into our work and lives.  Among those we work with, this is the road less traveled, but it is the road of His procession over our lives if you will, that leads us to how big our life breakthrough could be.
