day 1986: Renewal

“Don’t stop him!” Jesus said. “No one who performs a miracle in my name will soon be able to speak evil of me.

When someone inside of your company or team is down on the company and they are feeling like things are going so well for them or the company, then take this risk on them.  Ask them to go out and interview prospective new employees to the company (preferably at the entry-level or college recruiting).  After a few times of telling the story of the company and their own story, they will be renewed and re-energized. When we repeat the good to others we tend to forget the bad and we also put ourselves in the shoes of others, reminding ourselves that we don’t have it so bad.  Give it a try.  It works.

When we feel that God has left us or that we have drifted from Him, then we can be renewed by our speaking about Him and the impact He has had on our lives.  Jesus showed us this when He said to His Disciples that anyone who acts in His name would be unable to continue to speak badly or evil of Him.  Jesus knows that when we speak or act of Him, regardless of how close we feel to Him, that He will take care of it and do good.  Sometimes we feel like we aren’t good or pure enough to talk about Him for fear that we won’t be able to live up to what others are expecting out of a Christian.  We should always strive to be our best in Him, but we don’t have to worry that He can’t use us at all times.  That is what He can do that with the mess that is us.
