“Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

Nothing is more frustrating than being asked to work on something, then you do it, only to find out that what has been worked on so hard wasn’t important, or even necessary.  On the other hand, nothing is more motivating, inspiring and worth giving it one’s all than when the work is impacting and aligned to the mission and success of the organization. Which one are we working on today?  Are we sure?

Jesus told us what our true work is to be.  This past weekend the Associate Pastor of our church explained that Jesus allows us to put all areas of our life into context because the real work we are to do is to strengthen our belief and faith in Him.  That is the work that matters and when we do this first and foremost, everything else, will indeed fall into place.
