I watched this Seagull as it worked to open a clam that it had caught. He must have dropped the clam at least 25 times before it finally hit a surface that cracked it open. It reminded me that sometimes, to get something done, we will have to let go and let something else, or someone else, do the work. How much better we could be if we would learn the lesson the first time, versus keep holding on for so long?
We have to let go if we are truly going to rely upon God to help us through our work and lives. It is our tendency to hold on tight to what we have and want, but God is telling us that we need to let go if we want to experience all He has in store for us. What is that we have been unwilling to let go, that we need to rethink today?
