Advertising shapes so much of what we do. Or possibly I should say, advertising too much shapes what we do. What I find amazing about really great advertising is that it doesn’t need to give us every detail, every benefit, every specification or even tell us the full story. All it has to do is give us a “glimpse” of what can be and that will be enough to “catch us” and spur an action or in most cases, a purchase. A glimpse. That is all it takes and then we take over from there.
There are so many references in the Bible of people getting only a glimpse of Jesus and that was enough to change their lives. Peter got a glimpse of Jesus and jumped out of the boat to walk on water to get to Him. There are glimpses of Jesus all around us everyday and if we only open our eyes, we can see Him working in our lives and in the lives of others. May today our eyes be open for the glimpses of Jesus and that we take actions that we are being called to receive.
