day 3K113: Endless Scroll

“Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.”

TikTok has figured out how to make us endlessly want to scroll. Originally designed for teens, they have become the social media service that has captured all ages, young and old to the tune of 1 billion people globally.  It’s because with their algorithm they almost read your mind providing you with what they think you will like, even without you having to like (as in a verb) anything.  As Mike Allen wrote, “So your trends become not just part how of how the algorithm sees you, but how you see the app.”  What I see in TikTok is a learning for each of us.  If we were to do the same think TikTok does; figure out how to give to our customers and consumers what they want, even before they think they want it, then we can win.

If we want to find what we are to do to assure that we are bringing glory to God through how we work, then we need to remember to endlessly scroll God’s Word for what He wants to tell us.  I’m fascinated with how God utilized so many people who came from one place of standing to another (Joseph, Moses, Paul, etc.) sometimes from high to low, other times from low to high, but in all cases, showing us how if we endlessly scroll God’s messages and direction to us, that we can become vessels to carry His love to others, making a difference for the expansion of His Kingdom.  This can be a reminder to us that He has an action plan for each of us today and endlessly.
