“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.  And you know the way to where I am going.”

Possibly, the most easy to visualize workshop, is Santa’s Workshop with his elves busily making the toys for him to deliver on Christmas Eve.  It would be a real gift of work to be able to work in a workshop like that.  While our jobs will likely never be that idyllic, if we look around hard enough we will find that we are in a workshop where all kinds of things can be created, sometimes as magically as what Santa’s elves do.  Today, we can collaborate with others through Docs (Google or others) or on Slack, or in front of a whiteboard and try out lots of different ways to create, solve, fix, etc..  And, what better place to workshop our ideas than with those around us, our coworkers and friends.  So, the next time we have to try something, let’s use the gift of the workshop to get to the next step in our progress.

Is it not one of the greatest gifts to know that Jesus is right now in His workshop, creating and preparing the place for us to be with Him eternally.  And, I believe He is doing it with great joy, anticipation and excitement.  Just like He wants us to work and put all of our talents to work for Him!  So, today, let’s go into our work with the spirit of Him being with us in the workshop!
