day 3K189: Power of Three

“Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.”

I was talking to someone recently who had been evaluating a new job.  He would be joining a venture capital partnership.  He was asking me about how to discern whether or not the firm would be good for him.  I mentioned to him the “Power of Three”.  He asked me, “What is that?”.  I told him that for whatever organization or company he was considering that he need to be sure that he “fell in love” with at least three of the people with whom he would be working closely.  Too many times I have seen people change jobs because they fall for the one person who might be their new boss, the person recruiting them or a co-worker, only to find that once they joined the company that the really didn’t like the other people. And guess what?  It didn’t work out nor end well.  So, how to mitigate this from happening again? Be sure that there are a minimum of three people whom you would say, “I am going to love working with them.”

The power of three.  Yes, we have that going for us too.  We can fall in love with The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.  They are the only Three we need.
