day 2084: Younger and Younger

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”

10.3 years old.  That is the average age of kids when they get their first smartphone.  We may not be able to market to them until they turn 13, but we need to consider that Mom and Dad bought them the phone and they will help them fill up their app screens.  When we say, “It seems like they are younger and younger”, we are right.  Also consider that our future employees will have had a screen in front of them for half of their lives before they show up at our office.

Children are part of the gifts that God has given us. And we are told that we are to keep the heart of a child so that we can be open to what God wants to do in our lives.  It is when we allow our hearts and minds to harden, like an adult, that we miss out. So, let’s be like the curious, wide-eyed and open to anything 10.3 year older today.
