day 3K190: Community And Trust

“But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

Not surprising to me, since work is so important to us (even those who are “Quiet Quitting”) that our employers and co-workers are a source of community and trust over many others.  What this mean is that we as leaders (at any level) can begin from a place of trust (earned or unearned).  But, it also means that we have a bigger responsibility to not break or erode that trust. We carry that burden.  Let’s carry it well.

See what is number two that is even above co-workers?  That is us who care for others and have found a way to know people below just the surface of working with them and made them our community.  And, our responsibility goes up as we find the common interest in our Lord and our walk with Him. Consider that when we get to know someone this well, that God has led us to them and them to us.
