day 2054: Inspired…Excited…Grateful

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

“Inspired…Excited…Grateful”  I saw a post on Facebook that had these three words and then a statement that everyone looks up to those who are inspired…excited…and grateful.  And, in this case, Facebook tells the truth. When we are fortunate enough to work with or for someone who has these characteristics. And for those who do lead or supervise others, it’s not all that hard to adopt these three characteristics and make them part of how we work and live.  But, it is that hard.  Almost so hard that it explains why so many leaders miss it and why when we do run across one of those leaders we turn around and become inspired by them, excited to be with them, and grateful for the time we get to spend with them.

God left us many examples of men and women of tremendous amounts of faith, but He never once said we should worship or bow down to any of these people.  Instead, we were challenged to not so do, but to rely on God’s Word to be what we turn towards to be inspired, excited and grateful.  So yes, God’s Word can inspire us.  We can get excited by the promises He has given us.  And, we should remain grateful for all that He has done, is doing and will do for us.
