day 3K227: The Gift Of Work: It’s Never Too Late To Begin Again

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Work brings us many gifts.  One of those is that it is never too late to begin again.  Sure, it might feel that way in small things, which can be true.  No, we can’t begin again a big presentation that is due in a few minutes, but in the larger scheme of work there are always opportunities to begin again if we want to.  We might have to give something up to get what we desire, but it could be worth it.  Work can be like a springboard where we go down a bit to get more power to go higher.  Don’t tell Angela Alvarez in her work that is too late for her .  She will prove you wrong as last week she won the Latin Grammy award for Best New Artist.  The punchline is that she is 95 years old.  Yep, it’s never too late to begin again. That is a Gift of Work!

Paul tells us that it is never to late to begin our life as a new person. That new person will be new in life, new in our relationships and new in our work.  We can accept and exercise the gift God has given us to begin anew.  And no, while we are here, it’s never too late.
