day 3K127: Don’t Click It

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”

We are overwhelmed by spam emails, unsolicited calls and texts.  Well, maybe I shouldn’t speak for all of you, so let me say I am way overwhelmed with them.  As much as we try and block, and report ,and put ourselves on no-call lists, they just keep on coming.  And, they are getting more and more sophisticated. I even almost fell for one the other day but I heard my IT assistance person in my brain say, “Don’t Click It!”.  Yes, never click it, ever!  If it is real, someone will follow up but never be the one to first click.

Maybe Satan is the mastermind behind spam.  After all, he is the ultimate taunter of temptation.  It’s as if he places one tempting click after another in front of us daily.  There will be so many today at work that we can’t predict how many.  So, we must stay diligent here as well and remind ourselves that we shouldn’t click or fall for these temptations, no matter how innocuous, temporary or appealing they may seem. Instead, let’s ask God today to remove us from the temptation call-list.
