day 3K233: Gifts Of Work – Learn Something New

“Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.”

A gift of work is the learning that can occur, daily or over the course of career, if you are only open to what is right in front of us.  If you are Manager or Supervisor, you have the opportunity to learn psychology.  If you are in Sales, you can learn Communication and Marketing.  If you are in Marketing, you can learn Finance.  If you are in HR, you can learn Peace and Conflict Resolution.  And, if you are in business in any function, you can learn Political Science.  These are all crash course, test by fire kind of learning.  Where else can you learn so much and get paid for it at the same time?  Well, that is a gift of work.

God has given us a wonderful brain that allows for us to learn as much as we desire.  It might take some of us longer than others, but if we stick with it, we can learn just about anything.  If we choose to not utilize what God has given us, then we are handing back to God the gift that He has given us.  When have we ever felt good about someone returning a gift that we gave them?  Let’s learn to accept the gift of work that is learning.
