day 2273: Turtle On A Pole?

“…and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

Have you ever seen a turtle that is sitting on the top of a pole?  Probably not.  But one thing we can know for sure; if we see one, it didn’t get there by itself.  We see the figurative turtles on a pole everyday.  How is that some message or person breaks through and captures everyone’s attention or appreciation?  Well, someone was behind getting that turtle up on that pole. The internet could be considered the pole these days and there are more turtles up there than we can now count. It’s hard to know where ideas, movements, and actions come from that seem to come from nowhere, but it is up to us each of us to be sure we dig deep to understand who lifted up the turtles. Business and communication is moving faster than ever in history, so let’s be sure to slow down long enough to turtle speed to gain our own clear understanding.

Undoubtedly, those who were threatened by the movement that was Jesus had to be human enough to sit around a table and look at each other and ask, “Seriously, how did this guy get here?”  Consider that Jesus could attract 5000 plus to hear him teach. They must have been astounded of His fame and influence and they had to have had people trying to figure out who was behind Him, backing Him and His band of disciples.  I’d have loved to have been in the room when the report came back that there wasn’t any political or religious faction that had created and pushed Him forward.  I suspect that maybe one or more of those who did their research and investigation had their eyes opened that it was only God the Father who was the unconditional backer and supporter of Jesus.  I think this because whenever we dig deep into Jesus we can’t help but be drawn more and more to Him.
